While shooting a portrait of graffiti artist/illustrator, Tony Bones, in a Dallas warehouse we found dozens of these pristine, rippled-glass sheets original to the building. They were HEAVY, but beautiful. The owners are renovating the warehouse at 800 Jackson St in Dallas. These and other original pieces – elevator motors, a Coke advertisement painted on the neighboring brick exterior…will be salvaged and used in the new design.

Working with creative director Greg Duncan (designed the on air look for The Colbert Report, The Daily Show, HBO…) I shot a 60-image library for actuarial giant, Milliman. The images will populate the Insights section of their site in the coming months. The library consists of conceptual imagery relating to the healthcare, actuary and general investment industries. Don’t miss the piggy bank with the bear mask… Two more tomorrow and they’re off…

Great translation of my bio to Italian. Most of the facts are there, the timeline has changed. Thanks for the feature…

All of our fingers hurt after this one. 125+ real employees + buildings, greenery, mountains, type and clouds printed, mounted and cut to fit into a 16×4′ winter scene. Most of the lighting was done in miniature (LED, christmas lights, flashlights…). Mini gondolas never looked so good.

I would never trade my new photo/design life for my old design/design life, but I do miss shooting with different photographers. Over the years I’ve shot with some amazing photographers across the globe. Many have influenced my design, photography and certainly my scope of thinking. One of my favorites is Dutch photographer, Thijs Wolzak. Instead of giving my own voice over – take a minute to run through his site: www.wolzak.nl. We’ve worked on quite a few projects together – and toured a good number of America’s b-list cities…
